 Hello to all of you TD folks, and any TD Wannabes! After the 1st Gathering Dean & I discussed alternate places in the redwoods to hold this event. We are currently on a Quest to locate another place which could be rented privately, in the event we are unable to secure the dates that can coincide with the optimal weather here in July. Keep in mind, the place can only be rented/reserved after Jan. 1st, and only one year at a time. Also, SOMEONE has to camp out for 2-3 days in line to secure the dates as it is a highly sought after place. For those of you who attended you can probably see why so many private parties lust after these prime summer month dates. I didn't invent the system, just have to deal with it. So, the earliest we could even let you know about a date would be in January of 2008. Planning that far in advance might be challenging for some folks, but pencil in the IRG 2.0 for the latter part of July. This year July had 5 weekends, but that is not the case every year.
Thanks once again for all the support and encouragement you gave to us to make the IRG became a reality. The Inaugural Event was a success for us, and enthusiastically received by those in attendance. Ta-ta for now,
TD Nanny
I know most people really appreciated the coolness (65-68 degrees F) in those summer months, especially those traveling from the SoCal & Arizona hotspots. We already know the dates/location for the IADY in 2007 (July 13-15). I'd encourage people who want to make a jaunt to the North Coast in the summer of 2007 to check out this event that was taken over by Lee Bryant. It is held in Mendocino County, a neighboring county of our Humboldt, and is right on the ocean. There may not be redwood trees surrounding your TD, but the place we had this year (06) was a gorgeous spot on the MENDO Headlands with a view of the ocean and miles of places to walk/hike....and it usually has temps in the 60's-low 70's for that time of summer.

Please note that the date(s) for the Gathering at Mendocino have been changed. Visit the link for T&TTT to confirm that it will be the weekend of July 20-22, 2007. It can be found under the section title "Southwest". I hope to see you there....with or without a teardrop!

 Stay tuned, after the weekend, January 2nd, 2008, we will have the OFFICIAL date for the IRG 2.0. Keep in mind we are aiming for the week of July 24, 25, 26 , 27 (weekend is Fri./25) with a late check-out on Monday the 28th of July. If we aren't the first in line, we just hope the people who are want a different weekend then we do. Look for an update web page and registration information soon.
