As many of you will be leaving soon remember.... 1. A flashlight is a must. There are no street or other lights at the campsite. Only what you bring. It gets really dark at night and it will not be a full moon this year. If you go in and out at night you'll definitely need one to see the gate combo. 2. Be sure to bring a container to put your water in. There are no flush toilets, sinks in bathrooms, or regular showers on site. There are "no need to flush restrooms", four in all, two on the top level, and two on the bottom. Bring quarters if you'd like to shower at nearby Swimmer's Delight campground. 3. If you need a generator for your personal TD electricity (or medical reasons) PLEASE bring your own. We will have the main generator hooked up at the Cookshack (Cook Palace) where you can bring in something for a plug in...like if you needed to grind some coffee, run an electric shaver, or something small like that. We operated that generator about an hour in the morning and then later in the day as needed. 4. It gets misty/foggy at times so bring clothes that you can layer. 5. Your portable camp chair to bring up for the campfire and/or meals. If you have a small camp table you might wish to bring that for your own site. The majority of sites will have a shared fire pit and large picnic table, but not in the meadow or perimeter areas. 6. Do NOT expect reliable cell phone service as you are in a dead zone area. Nearby pay phone is about 5 minutes away to the east. If you do get decent and regular service while at PG, please let me know so I can switch carriers myself! 7. Optional, but would be nice, can you bring an item for the raffle? We will have some kids as well as adults coming. It can be related to camping, teardropping, hobbies that many of us do, an item you received that has become a white elephant for you ....(That means somebody gave you a really nice gift, but you probably would never use/wear it so you can regift it. Like the time I got two bottles of an expensive beverage, but don't drink, so I regifted them.) 8. Bring your excitement and enthusiasm, willingness to share, and a camera. That's pretty much the basics, but especially a flashlight. TDN
